Small Dog Boarding

SoloDogs specializes in boarding small dog purebreds and mixed-breeds who are generally between 10 and 30 lbs in the Greater Seattle Area including the Olympic Peninsula. My own dog, a 30 lb Whippet, is a little wary of dogs who are larger than her, and she gets a vote in who gets approved to be boarded by Solo Dogs 🙂

If you’ve got a small dog, you may also be wary of boarding your small dog with larger dogs due to safety reasons. Many small dogs prefer to be around dogs who are more similar to their size and weight.  Larger dogs can sometimes unintentionally injure smaller dogs, which is why many dog parks have specific small dog areas. Small dog breeds that would be suitable for boarding at SoloDogs include Yorkie, Jack Russell Terrier, Maltese, Shiba Inu, Beagle, Shih Tzu, Toy Poodle, Pug, French Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Italian Greyhounds, Rat Terrier, Westie Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Austrailian Terrier, Corgi, Havanese, Dachshunds, and many more!
